JOB SUMMARY
The Property-Level Accountant II is responsible for the accurate preparation and completion of monthly operating financial statements for a portfolio of individual properties. This role supports the financial integrity of each property by ensuring timely reporting, precise cash tracking, and compliance with established accounting policies and procedures. The ideal candidate brings strong property management accounting experience, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and complete monthly operating financial statements for 5-8 individual properties Track and reconcile cash activity, including receipts and disbursements Perform monthly bank account reconciliations Ensure timely payment and monitoring of critical expenses, including mortgages and insurance Work closely with Property Managers to provide critical information for financial reporting. Calculate, record, and monitor key accruals and prepaid expenses Maintain accurate general ledger records within property management accounting software Support audits, internal reviews, and management inquiries as needed Collaborate with property management and operations teams to resolve accounting issues, pre close, and close activities. Other job functions as necessary to assist with accounting of properties.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
4-6 years of property management accounting experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Working knowledge of property management accounting software Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple properties and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
