Position Overview:
The Senior Accountant will manage general ledger accuracy, job cost accounting, and financial reporting while ensuring compliance with GAAP and industry standards. The role requires overseeing subcontractor compliance, lien waivers, and accounts payable/receivable while providing financial insights to senior management.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Manage job cost accounting and track project profitability. Prepare and review financial reports, including income statements and cash flow statements. Ensure subcontractors meet compliance requirements and manage lien waivers. Work closely with project managers on subcontractor costs and contract compliance. Monitor cash flow, forecasting, and financial planning. Prepare financial reports for senior management and ownership.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required). 5+ years of construction industry accounting experience. Strong understanding of job cost accounting, subcontractor compliance, and lien waiver processes. Proficiency in construction accounting software.
