Project Accountant -
Early Career Experience:
0-2 years
Education:
Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, eager to learn, and interested in gaining hands-on experience with project financials, job costing, AP/AR, and construction accounting . Key Responsibilities Support project accounting and financial activities across multiple construction projects Assist with job costing, project budgets, and financial reporting Process and track accounts payable and accounts receivable Review and code invoices to the appropriate projects and cost codes Assist with subcontractor and vendor payments Reconcile project accounts and identify discrepancies Assist with monthly financial close and reporting Track project expenses, commitments, and budget variances Work closely with Project Managers and Operations to ensure accurate project financials Assist with change orders, purchase orders, and contract documentation Maintain accurate and organized accounting records Prepare reports and spreadsheets for project and management review Assist with audits and other accounting-related projects as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field required Master's degree preferred 0-2 years of accounting or finance experience Recent graduates are encouraged to apply Internship or coursework related to accounting, finance, or construction is a plus Strong Excel skills and comfort working with numbers and financial data Excellent attention to detail and organization Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and grow Construction accounting experience is a plus but not required What's Offered Competitive salary Benefits package PTO and paid holidays Professional development and growth opportunities Exposure to large-scale construction projects Strong opportunity for long-term career advancement
