Accounting/Finance Professional (Financial Reporting Focus)#26-32854 $70-$100 per hour Doraville, GA Hybrid Job Description Our Client, a Mattress Manufacturing company, is looking for an Accounting/Finance Professional (Financial Reporting Focus) for their Doraville, GA/ Hybrid location.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with
U.S. GAAP
(SEC equivalent 10-Ks/10-Qs). Assist with the consolidation process and administration of Oracle EPM Cloud application, review and maintenance of cash flow logic, and maintenance of metadata and mapping files. Evaluate and implement new accounting and reporting standards from the FASB and other relevant standard setters. Review material contracts to determine the proper accounting treatment and draft technical memos for various accounting matters as needed. Assist in performing impairment analysis for Goodwill, intangible assets, and other long-term assets. Assist in the preparation of our cashflow statement and our adjusted EBITDA schedules. Maintain books and records for various corporate accounting areas including leases, debt, equity, and stock-based compensation. Assist in documentation and monitoring of internal controls. Lead the collaboration with external/internal auditors to provide requests in a timely manner. Prepare recurring and non-recurring journal entries related to financial reporting. Other projects as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting or Finance. Self - starter with a demonstrated ability to think critically, make effective decisions and solve problems. CPA or CPA candidate with strong understanding of accounting principles, including
US GAAP, SEC
reporting, and SOX compliance. 3+ years accounting/finance experience, public accounting experience preferred. Highly detail oriented and ability to multitask and meet assigned deadlines. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with a customer service focus. Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives. Ability to collaborate with cross - functional teams on various tasks. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of applications. Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley regulations; experience in drafting control narratives and/or monitoring/testing controls. Preferred qualifications Experience with applications such as Oracle EPM Cloud FCCS, Workiva, Blackline and Visual Lease. Public accounting experience is a plus.
