Job DescriptionThe Senior Inventory Accountant oversees comprehensive inventory and Manufacturing accounting functions, including monthly reconciliation of inventory balances and verification of purchase orders against vendor invoices to ensure accurate and timely payments. This role helps manage daily inventory postings and maintains accounting for all retail inventory, including reconciliations and amortizations. The position also supports Monthly Store physical inventory count and supports additional accounting responsibilities as assigned. What Would You Do? The Specifics.

Reconcile Lens inventory POs received against vendor invoices using BlackLineCoordinate with Lab and Distribution Center teams to facilitate timely processing and payment of vendor invoicesProcess Wave and Lab billing posting in JDA on a daily basisPerform monthly reconciliation of inventory balances in the general ledger against perpetual inventory systemsPrepare monthly Inventory reserves for Obsolescence and ShrinkComplete additional accounting and inventory-related tasks as assigned.

QualificationsWork Experience4-6 years of progressive accounting experience. ((Required))Inventory Accounting ((Preferred)) EducationFour year college degree or equivalent experience. in Accounting/Finance required or equivalent accounting experience. (Required)Licenses, Certifications, Professional AffiliationsCertified Public Accountant (CPA) Upon Hire (Preferred) Additional SkillsExperience with Accounting Systems (Required)Experience with AS400/JDA, Oracle ERP, Blackline (Preferred)Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced excel formulas used to reconcile large and complex data (Required)Strong understanding of US GAAP reporting requirements. (Required)Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail and effective interpersonal abilities (Required)Demonstrated ability to work independently, think analytically, conduct research, perform data analysis, and resolve complex issues efficiently.
