Job Description:
We are partnering with a growing organization seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their team. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with leadership while contributing to financial reporting, month-end close activities, and process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting fundamentals, analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules Assist with month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting Analyze financial results and investigate variances across balance sheet and income statement accounts Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP Reconcile bank accounts, prepaid expenses, accruals, fixed assets, and intercompany accounts Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis initiatives Assist with external audits and provide requested documentation and schedules Identify opportunities for process improvements and strengthen internal controls Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, finance, and leadership teams Assist with ad hoc reporting and special projects as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 5+ years of accounting experience required Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles Experience with month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups, and formulas Experience with ERP systems and accounting software CPA or CPA-track preferred Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
