Job Description

Senior Accountant/Accounting Manager Permanent Marietta GA 6 Degrees Group Our client is a growing company looking for a Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager (DOE) to take ownership of core accounting functions across a dynamic, project-driven business. This role touches everything from month-end close and construction accounting to AR, AP, cash management, and audit support with cross-functional visibility into project operations and leadership. It's a strong fit for someone who wants to be a key player in a mission-driven company that's scaling fast.
Responsibilities:
Lead month-end and year-end close processes, prepare and reconcile general ledger accounts, and maintain supporting schedules for balance sheet and income statement accounts Manage customer invoicing, AIA billings, lien waivers, and collections activity while monitoring AR aging and partnering with project teams to resolve billing issues Apply construction accounting principles including percentage-of-completion, COGS, and subcontractor administration, and partner with project managers to ensure accurate project cost reporting Support AP operations, weekly payment runs, daily cash reconciliation, cash flow forecasting, and external audit and tax engagements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or public accounting experience preferred 3-8 years of progressive accounting experience; construction, renewable energy, or project-based industry background strongly preferred Experience with percentage-of-completion accounting and ERP systems Advanced Excel skills with strong GAAP knowledge and attention to detail
