Staff Accountant Milton, GA 30004 $56,057.54 - $67,510.16 a year - Full-time $56,057.54 - $67,510.16 a year - Full-time Overview In this role, you will be responsible for managing core accounting functions, and supporting various financial processes across the organization. Your roll will involve maintaining accounting records, payroll management and reporting. This position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your career. Responsibilities Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness. Conduct balance sheet reconciliations, analyze account activity, and resolve discrepancies efficiently. Assist in HR duties involving benefits and the Affordable Care Act. Support month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely completion of financial statements. Skills Experience with QuickBooks is a plus but not required. Proficiency in payroll reporting and familiarity with payroll tax regulations. Demonstrated ability in account reconciliation, journal entries, double-entry bookkeeping and data entry accuracy. Excellent understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, balance sheet reconciliation. Strong math skills combined with analytical thinking. Self starter who works independently and is detail oriented.
