Senior AccountantLead Financial Operations for a Growing Multi-Company Construction OrganizationAre you an accounting leader who loves being close to the business, not just closing the books? We're looking for an Senior Accountant to take ownership of financial operations across a multi-company construction entity. This is an opportunity for someone who wants to combine hands-on day-to-day involvement with a long-term strategic mindset.

In this role, you'll be a key financial partner to the business — driving accuracy, improving processes, strengthening controls, and helping position the organization for continued growth. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment where operations, job costing, cash flow, payroll, and process improvement all come together, we want to hear from you.

What You'll DoLead daily and monthly bank reconciliations and other monthly balance sheet reconciliationsReview weekly payroll and process one smaller company payroll each weekOversee accounts receivable and accounts payable, including providing weekly A/P budgetsManage and oversee the general ledger, including preparing and posting journal entriesCalculate and remit 401(k) deferrals weekly and union dues monthlyOversee work-in-progress (WIP) job cost tracking and analysisMonitor, manage, and forecast company cash flowSupport month-end close activities as neededContinuously evaluate and improve financial policies, procedures, and internal controlsPerform year-end accounting activities for external auditorsSupervise, mentor, and inspire payroll and accounting staff as the business growsEnsure union reporting and dues submissions are completed accurately and on timeWhy This Role Stands OutThis is more than a traditional accounting position.
