We are seeking a highly motivated and dependable Staff Accountant to join our growing team and play a vital role in supporting the financial health and operational success of our organization. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, reconciling accounts, and supporting day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and proficient in Excel, Google Sheets, and QuickBooks, with a strong commitment to accuracy and efficiency. You will handle a variety of accounting transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, expense reporting, reconciliations, disbursements, and financial documentation. Key Responsibilities Provide accounting and administrative support to the finance and accounting department Accurately prepare, process, and maintain financial documents and accounting records Prepare bank deposits, journal entries, general ledger postings, and financial statements Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts in a timely and accurate manner Enter and maintain financial transaction data within accounting systems and databases Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes Assist with expense reports, receipts, disbursements, and supporting documentation Research, identify, and resolve accounting discrepancies and documentation issues Prepare reports, summaries, and analyses for management review Collaborate with internal team members to support financial operations and reporting needs Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and applicable regulations Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information Continuously expand professional and technical accounting knowledge Qualifications & Skills Proven experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related financial role Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and basic accounting procedures Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets for reporting, analysis, and data management Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Exceptional attention to detail and high level of accuracy Strong numerical aptitude and analytical thinking skills Excellent organizational, filing, and recordkeeping abilities Proficient in data entry and word processing Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Associate's degree in Accounting required Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong sense of personal accountability and professionalism Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues Ability to remain positive, organized, and effective under pressure Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities High level of discretion and commitment to maintaining confidentiality Ability to follow oral and written instructions and adhere to established departmental procedures and routines Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to supporting organizational goals

From $19.00 per hour
