This Senior Staff Accountant role is ideal for an experienced, detail-oriented professional who enjoys working independently, keeping the books clean, and partnering cross-functionally to ensure accurate reporting and smooth close cycles. You'll support core general ledger responsibilities, reconciliations, reporting, and process improvements in a flexible, collaborative environment designed for long-term success. Required Skills 10+ years of progressive accounting experience (staff/senior accountant level) Strong general ledger accounting skills (journal entries, accruals, allocations, reconciliations) Month-end and year-end close experience Strong knowledge of GAAP and standard accounting principles Advanced Excel skills (analysis, reconciliations, reporting support) High attention to detail with strong follow-through and accountability Ability to work independently with minimal day-to-day direction Clear communication skills (able to explain financial concepts to non-finance partners) Nice to Have Skills CPA or CMA (or progress toward certification) Sage Intacct (or similar ERP) experience Process improvement experience (streamlining close, documenting workflows, automation) KPI/dashboard reporting experience Preferred Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) Prior hands-on ownership of recurring close activities and balance sheet reconciliations Other Requirements Hybrid schedule (minimum 2 days/week onsite ; you can select the days) Local to Alpharetta/Atlanta area (this is not a fully remote role) Comfortable in a steady-paced, stable environment where quality and consistency matter If you're ready to step into a stable, high-ownership accounting role where you can make an immediate impact, submit your resume and apply today.
