Join an established company in the manufacturing industry, where disciplined financial management supports efficient production, inventory accuracy, and continued business growth. This opportunity is ideal for an early-career accounting professional seeking hands-on exposure to cost accounting, manufacturing operations, and month-end close activities. Working closely with the Controller and cross-functional production and procurement teams, you will contribute to accurate reporting and informed business decisions.

Responsibilities:

Record and reconcile daily accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions. Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Assist with month-end and year-end close processes. Support inventory costing, cycle counts, variance analysis, and cost of goods sold calculations. Reconcile bank statements and vendor accounts while researching discrepancies. Help maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules. Support internal and external audits by gathering documentation and responding to requests. Collaborate with production and procurement teams on cost-related questions and reporting.

Must-Have Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 0-2 years of related accounting experience, including internships. Foundational knowledge of cost accounting, financial accounting, and manufacturing operations. Experience with AP/AR processing, journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger activities. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications. Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and written and verbal communication skills. Fluency in written and spoken English.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

Experience with SAP or another ERP system such as NetSuite or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Prior accounting experience in a manufacturing environment. Exposure to inventory costing, variance analysis, COGS calculations, or project cost tracking. Progress toward CPA certification or placement on a CPA track. Experience supporting sales tax filings, compliance reporting, or audit requests. Familiarity with fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules.
