$60,000•$65,000 a year Job Description Our client is a leading, full-service specialty contractor in the commercial construction industry. Known for their strong regional growth, exceptional craftsmanship, and collaborative workplace culture, they are currently seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join their corporate Accounting Team in Suwanee, GA. This is a full-time, in-office position that blends traditional general ledger accounting, project-specific cost monitoring, and subcontractor compliance management. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have experience in or would like to grow in commercial construction workflows, this is an excellent opportunity.
What You Will Do:
Perform monthly analysis and reconciliation of expense accounts against budgets; prepare critical weekly cash projection reports. Monthly review, reconciliation, and coding of various corporate credit cards and employee expense reports. Balance monthly and quarterly labor allocations to the General Ledger. Monitor and reconcile miscellaneous project expenditures and warranty project costs. Maintain, review, and audit Subcontractor Agreements and required Insurance Certificates (COIs). Monitor and renew corporate annual state filings. Review and balance monthly employee benefit invoices. Cross-train and provide reliable backup support to Accounts Receivable (A/R), Accounts Payable (A/P), Contracts Administration, and Payroll teams as needed.

Personable, approachable, and able to build strong relationships with individuals at all levels—including internal staff, field employees, vendors, and subcontractors. Proactive mindset with a strong work ethic and a desire to continuously build skills. Highly proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically featuring Excel capabilities. Experience & Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent professional experience. 2+ years of standard corporate accounting experience (Required). 2+ years of experience working specifically within the commercial construction industry a plus. .
