Role:

The SAP Cost Controller plays a critical role in managing and optimizing the cost structures within the transportation and warehousing sector. Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Proven experience working as a Cost Controller or in a similar financial control role within the transportation or warehousing industry. Strong proficiency in SAP Cost Controlling (CO) module with hands-on experience in cost allocation, cost center accounting, and internal orders. Solid understanding of cost accounting principles, budgeting, and financial analysis. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications:

Professional certification such as CMA (Certified Management Accountant) or CPA (Certified Public Accountant). Experience with SAP S/4HANA and integration with other SAP modules like FI (Financial Accounting) and MM (Materials Management). Familiarity with transportation and warehousing operational processes and cost drivers. Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, macros, and data visualization tools. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.

Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain cost accounting records within the SAP system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. Analyze cost variances and prepare detailed reports to support management in budgeting and forecasting activities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, finance, and procurement to monitor and control costs. Identify cost reduction opportunities and recommend process improvements to enhance financial performance. Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to cost accounting and financial reporting. Ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulatory requirements related to cost management. Provide training and support to team members on SAP cost controlling modules and best practices.
