In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing core accounting functions, ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and supporting financial reporting processes. Your expertise will help maintain accurate financial records, and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in corporate accounting and financial software systems within a collaborative environment that values precision and proactive problem-solving. Duties Prepare and analyze journal entries, account reconciliations, and ledger postings to ensure accurate financial data entry and recordkeeping. Conduct balance sheet reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable management, and general ledger maintenance utilizing accounting software such as Support month-end and year-end closing processes by verifying data accuracy and preparing necessary reports. Assist with payroll management tasks using systems like ADP, Paychex, Kronos, or UltiPro to ensure timely and accurate employee compensation processing. Ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and assist in internal audits related to financial reporting. Maintain detailed documentation of financial transactions, account analysis, and audit trails for transparency and regulatory purposes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, tax preparation, and financial analysis projects to support organizational growth initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or progress toward certification is a plus. Proven experience in corporate accounting Strong proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite etc. Familiarity with GAAP standards and technical accounting principles. Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform account analysis and reconcile complex accounts such as accounts payable/receivable and the general ledger. Ability to interpret financial concepts clearly while maintaining meticulous attention to detail in all tasks.
