$85,000- $108,000 annually, depending on experience We are seeking an Accountant to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, and contract management for organizations with grant-funded and government-funded programs. This position plays a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and the overall financial health of the organization. Accountant is responsible for managing a full range of accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll reporting, general ledger reconciliations, budgeting support, financial reporting, audit preparation, and grant and contract compliance. This role partners with leadership and program teams to support sound financial management and reporting practices. Essential Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking transactions, journal entries, and account reconciliations. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for leadership, funding agencies, and stakeholders. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost allocation planning. Develop, review, and maintain cost allocation methodologies and supporting documentation Support internal and external audits through preparation of schedules, workpapers, and financial records. Monitor contract and grant compliance requirements and ensure timely reporting. Prepare payroll-related reports and assist with financial analysis and special projects. Collaborate with managers and administrative staff to support financial accountability and operational effectiveness. #RemedyHIDirectHire Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Minimum of five years of professional accounting experience. Experience with financial reporting, compliance, and contract or grant administration. Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting best practices. Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel Experience preparing and analyzing financial reports. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
