Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to support core accounting operations for a Contract position based in Kapolei, Hawaii. This role will focus on maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing close activities, and ensuring timely reconciliation of key accounts. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge and a detail-oriented approach to day-to-day financial processes. Responsibilities:
  • Lead monthly closing activities by preparing schedules, reviewing balances, and helping ensure financial results are completed on time.
  • Prepare and post journal entries with supporting documentation to maintain accurate accounting records.
  • Manage general ledger activity and investigate discrepancies to preserve the integrity of financial data.
  • Perform account reconciliations regularly and resolve outstanding items in a timely manner.
  • Complete bank reconciliations by comparing transactions, identifying variances, and correcting issues as needed.
  • Support delinquency-related accounting analysis and reporting to help track outstanding balances and related financial impacts.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to clarify accounting issues, improve reporting accuracy, and maintain compliance with established procedures.
