Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as an Accountant / Bookkeeper and become a vital part of our financial operations! This energetic role offers the opportunity to manage comprehensive accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance while supporting the financial health of our organization. You will work with a variety of accounting software and financial concepts, contributing to smooth financial processes and insightful reporting. Duties Maintain accurate records through general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations, including bank and account reconciliations. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently, ensuring timely payments and collections. Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, adhering to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Conduct monthly bank reconciliations, general ledger reconciliation, and account analysis to ensure data integrity. Process payroll using various financial software platforms while ensuring compliance with tax regulations and payroll standards. Assist with budgeting activities by analyzing expenses and preparing financial forecasts. Support governmental and non-profit accounting requirements by maintaining proper documentation and compliance standards. Requirements Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or Quicken; familiarity with other financial software is a plus. Strong understanding of GAAP, double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and general ledger accounting. Knowledge of governmental or non-profit accounting practices is highly desirable. Ability to perform detailed account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliation accurately. Excellent skills in financial report writing, account analysis, and budget management. Proficiency in 10 key typing for efficient data entry and processing. Experience with tax preparation or tax-related processes is advantageous. Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks such as accounts payable/receivable management and payroll processing simultaneously.
