Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Staff Accountant to join our Accounting team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our financial operations by managing accounting processes, ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and supporting various financial systems. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong technical accounting skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Duties Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet analyses to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data. Manage accounts payable and receivable processes using financial software such as QuickBooks, ensuring timely payments and collections. Perform monthly general ledger reconciliations, and prepare reports for management review. Experience Proven experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably within public accounting or corporate accounting environments. Strong understanding of GAAP principles, governmental accounting standards (if applicable), and financial concepts such as debits & credits, journal entries, and account analysis. Demonstrated ability in account reconciliation, balance sheet management, bookkeeping, and financial data analysis using Excel spreadsheets. Experience handling confidential information with integrity and professionalism. Excellent numeracy skills combined with attention to detail. Strong customer service orientation with effective communication skills to collaborate across teams. This is an in-person, 30- 40-hour, salaried position with full benefits, working from our Ankeny office location.
Pay:
From $50,000.00 per year
