Job Description
Join our dynamic financial team and play a key role in evaluating and managing all aspects of company expenses. This position involves thorough assessment of profit margins, supporting financial operations, and ensuring accurate inventory balance for comprehensive financial reporting. Collaborate deeply with the Corporate Controller and CFO to streamline company costs and assist in budget preparation. Establish cost standards and deliver actionable insights on operational expenses. •
Key Responsibilities:
•Contribute to monthly and annual financial closures by maintaining inventory balance and managing entries related to transfers and variances. Analyze gross profit margins and communicate findings to finance and operations teams. Work closely with manufacturing plants to optimize cycle count processes, labor/overhead rates, and BOMs. Utilize cost analysis techniques to enhance current processes in inventory oversight and profitability reporting. Evaluate manufacturing costs, study labor absorption, and pinpoint variances to recommend process improvements. Assist with calculating work center rates for production facilities. Review and assess large variances in completed shop orders, proposing process changes as needed. Conduct annual cost roll procedures, including change analysis. Participate in special projects and analyses as required. •Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related financial field. Over five years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a manufacturing setting. Proficiency in cost accounting and experience with ERP systems like SAP, Deacom, NetSuite, or Epicor. Strong skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with the ability to deliver top-notch customer service.
