JOB SUMMARY

As a CAS Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in the world of client accounting advisory services. This role offers exposure to real-world accounting practices, client interactions, and the chance to contribute to accurate financial reporting for our diverse clientele.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Assist in reconciling financial accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards Work with accounting software to input and verify financial data Support the preparation of financial statements, income statements, balance sheets, and other relevant reports Collaborate with senior accountants to analyze financial data and provide insights Participate in client meetings and interactions to gather financial information, understand client needs, and offer support Help address client inquiries and provide basic accounting assistance Assist in collecting and organizing financial data for analysis and reporting purposes Contribute to basic data analysis to identify trends and discrepancies Maintain organized and accurate documentation related to accounting activities, ensuring adherence to firm standards Participate in training sessions and learning opportunities to enhance your understanding of accounting concepts and practices Seek guidance from senior accountants to expand your accounting knowledge and skills Supervisory responsibilities None Work environment Work is conducted in a professional office environment with minimal distractions Physical demands Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and performing work in front of a computer screen for long periods of time Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at a time Travel required None Required education and experience 0 - 1 year of relevant experience Currently enrolled at an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field High School Diploma or GED or High School equivalent certificate Preferred education and experience Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher Duration This is a temporary, less than six (6) month internship position Other duties Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the colleague for this job.
