This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys combining technical accounting expertise with financial analysis, budgeting, and process improvement in a collaborative environment. About the Role The Senior Accountant will play a key role in the company's accounting and financial reporting functions, supporting month-end close, budgeting, financial analysis, audit preparation, and continuous process improvement initiatives. This position offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally with leadership while contributing to strategic financial decision-making. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Prepare and analyze financial statements while maintaining the integrity of the general ledger. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives. Investigate accounting discrepancies, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions. Partner with internal and external auditors by preparing schedules and supporting documentation. Develop and improve accounting procedures, workflows, and internal controls. Collaborate with operations and leadership teams to ensure accurate financial data and reporting. Assist with management reporting, KPI tracking, and financial performance analysis. Participate in ERP enhancements, automation initiatives, and process optimization projects. Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles. Experience with month-end close, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. Background supporting audits and maintaining accounting documentation. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong analytical abilities. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Demonstrated success identifying and implementing process improvements. Experience working in construction or project-based environments is a plus.
