We are specialise in group transportation and charter bus travel. We operate a Fleet of 55 Motorcoaches and Mini buses that serves the St. Louis metro area and many parts of the midwest. VBL serves a wide range of customers from schools sports to weddings. Our goal is to be the best provider in charter service. Join our great team as an Accountant with our family owned business, Vandalia Bus Lines Inc. We are a charter bus company that operates a fleet of 55 motorcoaches, which travel all over the United States and Canada. Based out of Caseyville Illinois, just east of Downtown St. Louis. We have over 100 empolyees including drivers, mechanics, sales, cleaners, etc... We are seeking a dedicated individual looking for a long term position . As an Accountant with us, you will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring accuracy in financial transactions. Our ideal candidate is self driven and motivated person that will contribute to the financial success of our company. • Overview:

• At our company, we value precision, professionalism, and teamwork. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for various accounting tasks to support the financial health of the organization. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge accounting software and contribute to the success of our financial operations.

• Duties:

• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data
• Utilize Sage, and other accounting software for financial record keeping
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports for management review
• Collaborate with ownership to maintain accurate financial records
• Conduct clerical tasks related to accounting functions Pay any invoices via check, ACH or cc.
• Process Payroll using Paylocity
• Proactively manage ways to reduce our expenses
• Proactively seek ways to maximize profits
• Advise ownership on ways to improve revenue through regular financial analysis

• Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or equivalent
• Proven experience in or related field
• Proficiency in practices
• Familiarity with accounting software Sage
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently
• High knowledge of Excel
• Ability to work independently and as a member of the team
• Experience with Paylocity and processing payroll
