Champaign, IL Job Details Full-time $60,000 - $78,000 a year 17 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Life insurance Qualifications Spreadsheets Trend analysis Construction budget management Job order costing Excel data analysis Full Job Description Project Analyst Working closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers, and the Finance team, this role provides financial insight, identifies potential cost issues and helps maintain project profitability throughout the project lifecycle. Responsibilities Monitor project budgets and review job costs throughout the lifecycle of telecom construction projects. Analyze labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor, and other project expenses to ensure costs are being accurately tracked and allocated. Identify budget variances, cost overruns, and billing discrepancies, and work with project teams to resolve issues. Partner with Project Managers and field operations teams to maintain accurate project forecasts and financial expectations. Prepare, review, and submit customer invoices in accordance with contract requirements and project milestones. Track work-in-progress, unbilled costs, and revenue to ensure timely invoicing and healthy cash flow. Review subcontractor invoices, purchase orders, and change orders for accuracy and financial impact. Assist in the development of financial reports, cost analyses, and project performance dashboards. Support month-end reporting and project closeout activities. Help improve processes that support project profitability, accurate reporting, and efficient billing practices. Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance with company policies and customer contract requirements. Minimum Qualifications Experience in project analysis, construction accounting, project controls, telecom construction, or a related field. Strong understanding of budgeting, job costing, and financial reporting. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to analyze large amounts of data. Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Construction Management, Telecommunications, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Telecommunications construction, fiber deployment, utility construction, or infrastructure projects. Experience with project accounting or ERP systems. (Which ones?) Knowledge of contract billing, change orders, and project forecasting.
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year
