Founded in 1965, we've spent more than 60 years building a reputation for integrity, technical expertise, and lasting client relationships. We are seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional who enjoys working directly with clients, values a collaborative work environment, and is looking for a clear path to professional growth and increased responsibility. This role follows a standard 40-hour week for most of the year. During tax season (January 15 - April 15), extended hours are required to meet filing deadlines, typically averaging 50-55 hours per week, including some Saturdays. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review individual, partnership, S corporation, C corporation, fiduciary, and nonprofit tax returns. Perform tax planning and consulting services for business and individual clients. Research federal and state tax issues and communicate findings to clients and team members. Assist clients with tax notices, audits, and compliance matters. Develop and maintain strong client relationships. Collaborate with firm leadership on client service strategies and practice development. Mentor and support junior staff as the firm continues to grow. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. CPA license required (or actively pursuing licensure). Minimum of 3 years of recent public accounting tax experience. Strong knowledge of federal and state taxation for individuals and businesses. Experience with UltraTax or other tax preparation and research software. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently. What We Offer $80,000 - $105,000 salary based on experience.
