What You Will Do Prepare monthly financial statements—gather, interpret, and analyze information to prepare monthly financial statements Supervise the cash area—assist in cash balancing issues, reconcile monthly deposits to General Ledger Maintain Dining Special Programs database—verify, reconcile, and remit monthly invoices to Special Programs Directors Reconcile Dining Meal Card usage—reconcile Dining employee meal allowance usage to monthly Salary Time records
FLSA:
Non-Exempt 1. Any one or any combination of the following, totaling three (3) years (36 months), from the categories below: (a) Work experience and/or training in Accounting or a closely related field. (b) College course work and/or training in Accounting or a closely related field including 12 semester hours in accounting: 30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months) Associate Degree (60 semester hours) equals 18 months. 90-semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months). Bachelor's Degree or higher (120 semester hours) equals three (3) years (36 months). 2. A total of two (2) years (24 months) of experience in professional level accounting work consistent with the next lower level of this series. (a) An advanced degree in accountancy or registration as a Certified Public Accountant may be substituted for 1 year of prof. experience.

About Extra Help Positions:
Extra Help job listings typically close three days after the opening date, unless specified in the closing date. Extra Help employees are appointed to fulfill casual or emergent needs within the university. The amount of time for which services are needed is not usually predictable and payment for work performed is on an hourly basis and based on actual hours worked. Workdays and hours may vary according to departmental requirements. Extra Help employees do not receive SIUE benefits, holiday pay or paid sick or vacation leave. Extra Help employees are required by State Universities Civil Service System rules to take a 30-calendar-day break after working 900 hours. At the end of the 30 days, you may begin another 900-hour employment cycle in a new position if available. Working Extra Help will in no way affect any other employment opportunities with SIUE, including your position on and Civil Service register. There is no guarantee that working as Extra Help will lead to or secure permanent employment.
Illinois Residency Requirement:
Pursuant to the State Universities Civil Service System, out-of-state candidates must establish Illinois residency within 180 calendar days of the start date for this position. Illinois residency requires proof of a valid Illinois Driver's License or state of Illinois ID Card. Failure to produce the required documentation within 180 calendar days will result in immediate termination of employment.
