The General Accountant is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the organization's general ledger and supporting the timely completion of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process. This role prepares journal entries, performs account reconciliations, supports internal and external audits, and assists in the preparation of financial statements and management reports in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and applicable healthcare regulatory requirements. Prepare, review, and post journal entries to the general ledger, ensuring proper documentation and account coding. Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process to meet established deadlines. Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed, including review of transactions for accuracy and proper approval.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field. Two (2) or more years of progressive general accounting experience, including general ledger and account reconciliation responsibilities. Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas) Fully bilingual in Spanish and English, both written and verbal, as required to communicate effectively with internal departments, vendors, and external partners.
Demonstrated accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet recurring deadlines. Hospitality Experiences (hotels, restaurants, Golf, Casinos). Five (5) Years Experience.
