Job Description

Senior Accountant - Manufacturing Environment Cozzini LLC Cozzini Elk Grove Village, IL Description Cozzini, a Middleby company, is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Manufacturing Accountant to join our Accounting and Finance team. This position plays an important role in supporting the company's financial operations through financial reporting, month-end close activities, inventory and cost accounting, project accounting, and process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, manufacturing accounting experience, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Cozzini has a great opportunity for a Senior Manufacturing Accountant to join our Accounting/Finance Team! Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Perform month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts Calculate reserve requirements related to bad debt, warranty, vacation accruals, and inventory obsolescence Calculate and analyze inventory cost variances and capitalization adjustments Calculate project revenue in accordance with percentage-of-completion (POC) revenue recognition standards Manage month-end close activities related to equipment projects, plant operations, and inventory accounting Upload monthly reporting packages to the corporate parent company Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to audit inquiries Assist with improving accounting processes, procedures, and internal controls Analyze and report project and operational cost variances Maintain and report sales order intake and backlog reporting Ensure accuracy and integrity of inventory costing data Perform detailed cost analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions as needed Manage all aspects of the sales tax process Participate in ERP system implementation initiatives Support additional accounting department activities and special projects as assigned by management Cozzini, a Middleby company, is a leading provider of high-performance food processing equipment serving the protein and pet food industries.
