full-time Job Summary GC America is a leading global manufacturer of world-class professional dental consumable materials. We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. In this pivotal role, you will work closely with the Controller, analyze financial data, record journal entries as appropriate, and prepare financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule with assistance of the Controller. This role must ensure financial activity is properly recorded. Responsibilities Primary responsibility is to prepare financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule. Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures including accrual analysis and journal entries. Prepare monthly account reconciliations. Assist with financial and tax audits. Assist in documentation and monitoring of internal controls. Record fixed asset acquisitions, dispositions, and depreciation in the accounting system. Reconciliation of daily cash transactions for all bank accounts. Assist with annual fringe benefit and 1099 reporting in accordance with IRS rules. Prepare certain sales tax returns, maintain tax calendar. Draft written responses to tax notices. Conduct ad hoc analysis and projects as required. Work to gain a deep understanding of the Company's EP software systems to drive improvement and efficiencies. Uphold the principles and practices of the GQM business management system, including QC Thinking, Kaizen Innovation, and the corporate philosophy of GC no Kokoro. Perform general office duties such as answering the telephone and filing documents. Participate in regulatory compliance activities related to the job function, including quality audits, adverse event reporting for company products, and adherence to Good Documentation Practices for reporting and record keeping. Perform other duties as may be assigned. An individual in this position must be able to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above. Skills Strong understanding of accounting concepts including debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and account reconciliation. Experience with governmental accounting standards and SOX compliance is highly desirable. Advanced skills in Excel data analysis, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office suite for reporting and data management. Excellent numeracy skills combined with a keen eye for detail to ensure precise account analysis. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy under tight deadlines. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and external auditors.

Minimum Qualifications Education:

Requires education generally equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in Business/Accounting. Experience and/or

Training:

1 to 2 years accounting/finance experience.

Preferred Qualifications Education:

It is desirable for the incumbent to have attained additional business-related education, such as a CPA. Experience and/or

Training:

It is desirable for the incumbent to have 1 year of public accounting experience.

Technology/Equipment:

Advance use and technique in Microsoft Excel and

SAP FI/CO.
