full-time Our client is now the largest commercial line maintenance provider in the Chicagoland area, providing technical handling, aircraft de-icing, and limited ground handling for over 25 Domestic and International Airlines at O'Hare International Airport. The Senior Accountant will report directly to the CFO and is responsible for assisting in all areas of Accounting and Finance. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, general financial management, understanding compliance across business with company policies, support business units in resources to allocation decisions to optimize spending and maximize returns. Essential Duties Proficient with NetSuite and multi-location reporting, international accounting experience a plus Involves all aspects of the monthly accounting close process and ownership of the local financials Responsible for general financial management including business partnering, forecasting, reporting, financial integrity, and controls Prepare monthly financial statements in accordance with US GAAP Identify and address finance and accounting issues as they arise Ensure understanding and compliance across business units with company policies/processes, in such areas as compliance, ethics, finance, and accounting Coordinate with external auditors as needed Proactive in driving actions to maximize business opportunities and mitigate issue Infuse cost consciousness and awareness to operations and support business unit in resource allocation decisions to optimize spending and maximize returns Qualifications Required knowledge of MS Office Required knowledge of NetSuite Bachelor's degree in accounting Minimum 5 years' experience Strong Excel and analytical/technical skills Ability to work independently Strong communication skills Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
