Job Description:
Senior Accountant | Forest Park, IL Direct Hire | Salary to $125K + Bonus Eligible We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join a growing organization in Forest Park, IL. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys a hands-on role with broad financial responsibilities and the opportunity to work closely with operations and leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead month-end and year-end close activities Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Maintain the general ledger and perform account reconciliations Analyze financial results and investigate significant variances Ensure compliance with GAAP and accurate financial reporting Support internal and external audits and tax preparation Monitor project costs, budgets, and profitability Maintain and analyze WIP schedules and job costing Support budgeting, forecasting, process improvements, and system implementations Partner with project managers and leadership to support project profitability and business decisions
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration is highly preferred 4+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting Advanced Microsoft Excel and analytical skills Experience with multi-entity accounting preferred Construction, engineering, industrial services, or project-based accounting experience preferred Experience with job costing, WIP reporting, percentage-of-completion accounting, or project financial reporting is a plus Compensation & Benefits Base salary up to $125,000 Annual bonus eligible Direct hire opportunity Comprehensive benefits package Paid vacation and holidays 401(k) with company match Stable, growing organization with long-term career advancement opportunities Apply today or reach out directly to learn more about this opportunity.
