Opportunity to join a global manufacturer on one of their best performing teams Clear room for advancement About Our Client A leading global manufacturer is seeking a Cost Accountant to support plant operations and financial performance through detailed cost analysis, inventory management, and manufacturing reporting. This position will work closely with plant leadership, supply chain teams, and finance management to improve visibility into costs, profitability, productivity, and operational efficiency. Job Description Maintain and analyze product costing and manufacturing cost structures. Monitor inventory transactions and ensure inventory accuracy. Perform standard cost updates and support annual cost roll processes. Analyze manufacturing variances, including labor, material, overhead, and purchase price variances. Prepare monthly inventory and cost accounting journal entries. Support month-end close activities related to manufacturing operations. Partner with operations teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve efficiency. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and capital expenditure analysis. Participate in physical inventory counts and cycle count programs. Develop management reports and KPI dashboards related to manufacturing performance. Support internal and external audit requests related to inventory and cost accounting. The Successful Applicant Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 3+ years of accounting or financial analysis experience. Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environments. Strong understanding of inventory accounting and cost accounting principles. Advanced Excel skills. ERP system experience.
