In this role you would potentially supervise 1-2 project accountants and would also include job related financial analysis as needed. You would use your skills to work with project managers to submit invoices, pay estimates and waivers to customers along with documentation required by our contract. You will also interact with Accounts Payable to coordinate subcontract and supplier payments as determined by the terms of the contract. What you'll do: Lead and manager the accounting and financial reporting for highly visible large and complex projects, engaging directly with leadership in finance, operations, and risk management Prepare Monthly GMP/T&M applications for payment: o Use internal cost reports as basis for payment applications o Keep cost reports and payment applications in balance o Prepare billing package as required per contract specifications o Assemble documentation and invoices from subcontractors/vendors o Manage distribution of subcontractor payments in exchange for lien waivers. Track lower tier lien waivers and ensure accuracy of all payments o Track and issue lien waivers to customers o Prepare Agency or customer specific required documentation in various systems o Monitor pay estimates from pencil through funding stage Monitor and follow up on accounts receivable to ensure timely collection of funds. Maintain cash forecast of all AR payments. Work in conjunction with Accounts Payable to coordinate subcontract and supplier payments as determined by the terms of each contract. Monitor contract values to ensure accuracy for both Aldridge and each subcontractor. Participate in finance department improvement initiatives. Report to work ready to perform assigned tasks by using established safe work practices. Report all unsafe behaviors and/or conditions, near misses, incidents and injuries to your supervisor immediately. Take immediate action as appropriate if you observe something that could cause injury to a fellow worker. Participate in all required safety training.
Who you are:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, CPA preferred 5 years of experience (construction industry preferred) or equivalent Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as the ability to explain accounting concepts and results to project teams and /or other employees who have various levels of understanding of the accounting process Great organization, time-management, and prioritization skills Ability to produce high quality work in a fast paced environment. Ability to multitask and to adhere to the monthly close schedule and accounting deadlines. Strong Excel skills, experience with Tableau a plus Experience in managing and mentoring others Experience in sales and use tax reporting preferred. Ability to be a strong but diplomatic advocate for your ideas in front of executives.

What we offer:
The annual base pay for this role is between $90,000 - $120,000. The actual pay is dependent upon many factors, including: location, work experience, education, training, transferable skills, business needs, and market conditions. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. The role may also be eligible for a bonus.
