Senior Analyst - Corporate Accounting ???? Northern Chicago Suburbs | Fully Onsite A global manufacturing organization is seeking a Senior Analyst to join their Corporate Accounting team. This role offers the opportunity to own complex accounting processes, support financial reporting, and partner cross-functionally with teams across the organization. This position is ideal for a Senior Associate from Big 4 or mid-tier public accounting or an experienced corporate accountant looking to gain exposure to technical accounting, SEC reporting, audit support, and process improvement within a large global organization.What You'll Do:
Own monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes while ensuring compliance with US GAAP Prepare journal entries, perform account reconciliations, analyze variances, and resolve discrepancies Support budgeting and forecasting activities by analyzing actual results versus expectations and identifying key drivers Develop and maintain financial models, reporting schedules, and analytical tools to support accounting processes Partner with cross-functional teams including Human Resources, Finance, Tax, Treasury, and external service providers Support quarterly and annual financial reporting activities, including SEC reporting disclosures and audit deliverables Coordinate with internal and external auditors to provide timely and accurate information Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, strengthen controls, and enhance reporting efficiencies Assist with system enhancements, special projects, and ad hoc financial analysisWhat You Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 2-4 years of progressive accounting or finance experience Public accounting experience (Big 4 or mid-tier) strongly preferred Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial close processes Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and financial reporting Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical capabilities Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a complex environment Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex accounting topics clearlyPreferred Qualifications:
CPA or CPA in progress Experience supporting SEC reporting, external audits, or technical accounting projects Experience with ERP and consolidation systems Prior exposure to employee benefit accounting or complex accounting processesWhy Consider This Opportunity:
