Job Description

Description Kilcoy Global Foods North America is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This role is responsible for overseeing general accounting operations, ensuring compliance with GAAP, supporting financial reporting, and assisting with audits. The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in maintaining financial accuracy and contributing to process improvements across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements. Ensure compliance with US GAAP and company accounting policies. Assist with the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes. Analyze financial data and variances to provide actionable insights. Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation. Assist in developing and implementing accounting policies and process improvements. Prepare sales tax filings, property tax filings, and other regulatory reports as needed. Monitor and maintain the integrity of financial records and internal controls. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial reporting and operational efficiency. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements Qualifications & Competencies:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the food manufacturing, CPG, or distribution industries.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, and general ledger functions. Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
Analytical Skills:
Strong problem-solving ability with attention to detail and accuracy.
Communication Skills:
Ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
Adaptability:
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
