Job Description

Job Title:
Senior Corporate Accountant Location:
Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois (On-site)
Job Summary:
We are seeking experienced professionals who will play a vital role in the financial accounting and reporting functions of the organization. Our team values leaders who can drive best practices, process improvements, and maintain compliance with accounting standards in a large corporate setting.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Lead month-end and year-end close processes while overseeing account reconciliations and ensuring the accuracy of financial data. Manage the annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors; provide reports and analysis for management. Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and company policies; provide guidance and training to junior accounting staff.
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent; CPA preferred. 7-10 years of relevant experience, including 3-5 years in a management role overseeing accounting teams at large public companies or auditing large public companies. Strong technical knowledge of accounting theory, principles, practices, and regulations, including FASB/GAAP and SOX compliance. Demonstrated ability to identify and implement best practices and successfully use technology to improve process efficiency.
