Build Your Career. Join Our Team! We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to join our finance team at a leading senior living community. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys being hands-on, solving problems, and making a meaningful contribution to the financial health and operational success of an organization. In this role, you will work closely with the Senior Director of Finance and play an important part in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of our community. If you are organized, analytical, and enjoy working with people as well as numbers, we would love to hear from you! This is a full-time position with a starting salary of $65,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience. What You'll Do Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes. Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements. Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis. Maintain accurate and timely general ledger records and supporting documentation. Prepare resident billing and meet with residents to answer questions and provide assistance with invoices. Assist with annual audits and provide requested schedules and supporting documentation. Support the Senior Director of Finance with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. Assist with accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees, including salary calculations and deductions. Support financial reporting and regulatory compliance activities, ensuring timely and accurate submissions to federal, state, and local regulatory agencies. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting. 2+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or finance experience. Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles, standards, regulations, and payroll laws. Proficiency with accounting software and payroll systems, such as QuickBooks and Paylocity. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
