Job Description

Position OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Accountant to support corporate tax compliance and reporting. The primary purpose of this role is to prepare and review income tax returns, ensure compliance with federal, state, and international tax laws, manage tax accounting for fixed assets, and assist with indirect tax and sales & use matters. The ideal candidate will have strong tax technical skills, excellent analytical ability, and a commitment to meeting deadlines.

Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare, review and file federal, state and local income tax returns and related schedulesResearch and interpret tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and minimize tax riskCalculate and document tax provision entries and support quarterly and year-end tax provision processesMaintain tax accounting for fixed assets, including tracking basis, dispositions and related tax adjustmentsSupport indirect tax processes including sales & use tax research, returns and auditsAssist with international tax matters including withholding, transfer pricing coordination and foreign tax credits (as applicable)Coordinate and respond to tax notices and inquiries; manage relationships with external tax advisors and auditorsIdentify tax planning opportunities and provide recommendations to reduce tax liabilities and improve processesPrepare supporting documentation for tax audits and assist with audit responsesDevelop and improve tax processes, controls and documentation; support system implementations and tax automation effortsQualificationsBachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; Masters degree or advanced tax coursework preferredMinimum 2 years of corporate tax experience with demonstrated exposure to income tax preparation and compliance (required)Strong knowledge of tax principles including income tax and tax compliance requirements (must have)Experience with fixed asset accounting and tax treatment of asset additions, dispositions and depreciation (nice to have)Familiarity with indirect tax, sales & use tax and related compliance (nice to have)Experience with international tax rules, withholding and cross-border issues (nice to have)Active CPA license or working toward CPA (preferred/nice to have)Proficiency with tax software (e.g., UltraTax, GoSystem, or similar), Excel and ERP systems; comfortable with tax provision softwareExcellent analytical, communication and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesHigh attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in cross-functional teamsBenefitsVacation/PTOMedicalDentalVision401kBonus PotentialHybrid flex
