Job Description

CAS SeniorPosition Overview We are seeking a motivated and experienced CAS Senior to join our Client Accounting Advisory (CAS) team. The CAS Senior will be responsible for delivering high-quality accounting services to a portfolio of clients, including bookkeeping, financial reporting, reconciliations, and advisory support. This role blends technical accounting expertise, client relationship management, and team leadership to help clients improve their financial operations and make informed business decisions.

Key ResponsibilitiesServe as primary day-to-day contact for a portfolio of clients, delivering bookkeeping, month-end close, and financial reporting servicesPrepare and review reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals to ensure accurate and timely financial statementsPerform analysis of financial results and provide actionable insights and recommendations to clients to improve cash flow, profitability and internal controlsCoordinate with tax teams and outside advisors to ensure client records are complete and tax-ready; support tax provision and year-end processesLead implementation and optimization of cloud accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite), including migrations, integrations, and workflow automationTrain, mentor, and review work of junior staff and bookkeepers, providing feedback to develop technical and client-facing skillsIdentify process improvement opportunities and drive efficiency through standardization, checklists, and automation toolsEnsure compliance with applicable accounting principles and firm policies while applying best practices for CAS engagementsPrepare client-facing deliverables such as financial statements, management reports, budgets, and cash flow forecastsManage multiple client engagements, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality service and strong client relationshipsQualificationsBachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; advanced degree a plusCertified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred; Enrolled Agent (EA) designation or progress toward EA/CPA is a plus5+ years of professional accounting experience with a focus on client accounting services, bookkeeping, or public accountingDemonstrated experience with cloud accounting platforms (QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite) and integrations; experience with automation tools and reporting platformsStrong technical skills in GAAP, month-end close processes, reconciliations, and financial statement preparationAdvanced Excel skills and experience preparing financial analyses and management reportsProven client-facing skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-financial stakeholdersExperience supervising or mentoring junior staff and managing multiple client engagements simultaneouslyExcellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detailAbility to travel occasionally for client meetings as neededBenefitsCompetitive base salaryMedical, Dental, VisionRetirement planningFlexible work hours/environmentCell phone reimbursementIn-house masseuse during busy seasonDaily catered lunchesExcellent company cultureMuch more!
