Tax Accountant

Graham C-Stores Co is seeking to fill a full-time Tax Accountant position in Wadsworth, IL. This qualified candidate will be responsible for all tax accounting and other departmental tasks

From $75,000.00 per year

Responsibilities:

(Include but not limited to) Prepare, submit and pay all state and local taxes for Graham C-Stores Co Research annual tax rate changes and update tax database software Maintain margin spreadsheet with any tax changes Coordinate month end activity and run the closing process for the company Balance ATM activity daily, research and resolve any discrepancies Audit stores' daily paperwork, ensuring adherence to company policies Post various month end journal entries Complete various monthly balance sheet reconciliations Assist with new processes to improve financial efficiency Report analysis and findings to management team

Qualifications:

4 year degree with a BS in accounting Must have 4+ years' accounting experience Proven ability to meet strict state and local due dates Be detail and deadline-oriented with strong initiative and follow-through with the ability to manage multiple projects Willing to work with other hard working individuals Strong analytical and problem solving skills Advanced Excel skills required Excellent written and interpersonal skills
