Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
This position will be responsible for maintaining bank accounts, reconciling high volume cash transactions, and assisting with the month end close. Specific responsibilities will include the daily reconciliation of bank transactions and the resolution of related issues through interaction with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and treasury, as necessary. Specific Responsibilities of this
Position Include:
Import and reconcile daily bank activity Research and resolve reconciling items Prepare bank reconciliations and monthly analysis Prepare journal entries Develop a strong working relationship with AP, A/R and other department personnel as necessary Development of a strong understanding of cash management and banking systems to ensure the integrity of data flow Assist with establishing, implementing and documenting policies and procedures to simplify and standardize the cash reconciliation process Prepare and record monthly P-Card accrual Participate in monthly general ledger close with other accountants Ensure proper cut-off and accounting for assigned accounts Compile schedules to be used by outside auditors in their reviews and year-end audit General support on various projects as needed
Qualifications Required Qualifications and Skills:
Strong commitment to providing excellence in client service and a demonstrated ability of producing high quality results Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with other team members Ability to work with internal clients in a proactive manner to strengthen the control environment Accounting degree with 1 - 2 years accounting experience Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others and to communicate effectively both orally and in writing Ability to work independently from general supervision
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
