full-time We are partnering with a growing, privately held manufacturing company in the western suburbs of Chicago that is looking to add a Senior Accountant to its team. This is a highly visible, hands-on opportunity for someone who wants to own the accounting function rather than work within a large, specialized department. The Senior Accountant will work directly with company leadership and have broad responsibility across close, financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and process improvement. The company has experienced significant growth and is looking for someone who can help strengthen and scale its accounting processes as the business continues to expand. Responsibilities Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate financial reporting Prepare monthly financial statements and management reporting Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules Identify and implement accounting process improvements Support annual audit and tax preparation Provide backup support across AP and AR as needed Partner directly with leadership on accounting operations and reporting Qualifications Senior Accountant or similar hands-on accounting experience Experience owning the month-end close process Manufacturing accounting experience required Strong general ledger, journal entry, reconciliation, balance sheet, P&L, and financial statement experience Ability to work independently and manage multiple areas of the accounting function Strong Excel skills Process improvement mindset QuickBooks experience preferred Distribution experience is a plus Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred Why Consider It?
