full-time Rothschild Wealth Partners is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant/Financial Analyst to support the Finance department. In this role, you will manage core accounting functions while providing financial analysis and reporting that supports firm-wide decision-making. You will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and delivering timely insights to leadership. This role reports directly to the Manager of Finance and is located out of our Oakbrook location. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries, and assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP. Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, and balance sheet items, researching and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner. Assist in the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses for review by senior finance staff. Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process, including building models and tracking actuals against budget. Analyze financial data and trends to provide actionable insights that support business decisions across departments. Maintain and update accounting records and supporting documentation within the firm's financial systems. Assist with internal and external audits by preparing schedules, gathering documentation, and responding to auditor inquiries. Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and applicable regulatory requirements. What You'll Bring Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Solid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial statement preparation. Proficiency in Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling). Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables, meeting deadlines during month-end and year-end close. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to interpret financial data and communicate findings clearly. Bonus Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA candidate or progress toward CPA/CFA certification. Experience with financial reporting or ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar).
