In this role, you will be responsible for managing complex tax compliance processes, preparing accurate tax reports, and ensuring adherence to all relevant tax laws and regulations. Your expertise will support our organization's financial integrity and strategic growth by providing critical tax insights and ensuring regulatory compliance across various jurisdictions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your extensive accounting and tax experience within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment. Duties Prepare and review corporate, individual, and estate tax returns with precision, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws. Conduct detailed tax research on current laws such as securities law, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and other relevant regulations to inform accurate reporting. Assist in estate planning activities, including wills, trusts, and estate law considerations, to optimize tax efficiency for clients. Support regulatory compliance accounting initiatives, including SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) standards. Perform complex tax analysis related to mergers & acquisitions, financial reporting interpretation, and financial statement preparation. Collaborate with internal teams on financial report writing, analysis skills development, and client communication to ensure clarity and accuracy in all tax-related documentation. Utilize accounting software such as Quicken, Xero, or other financial tools for balance sheet reconciliation, general ledger accounting, and tax reporting processes. Requirements Proven experience in accounting with a strong focus on tax compliance, corporate tax expertise, and individual tax preparation. Extensive knowledge of tax law, regulatory compliance accounting, GAAP standards, and technical accounting principles. Demonstrated ability in estate planning, wills & trusts law, securities law, and LIHTC programs is highly desirable. Proficiency with accounting software such as Quicken or Xero; experience with financial software for asset management and financial planning is a plus. Strong analysis skills combined with excellent client communication abilities to explain complex tax concepts clearly. Experience working within public accounting or private equity environments is advantageous. Familiarity with auditing procedures, balance sheet reconciliation, accounts payable processes, and regulatory reporting requirements. Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
