$80,000-$100,000 Position Summary The Senior Accountant will partner closely with Operations, Sales, and Finance to ensure accurate financial reporting, analyze operating results, and identify opportunities to improve financial performance and efficiency. This position will be a key contributor to the monthly and annual financial close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, financial reporting, and other general accounting responsibilities. The role will also ensure transactions are recorded accurately in accordance with U.S. GAAP, company policies, and established internal controls. Key Responsibilities Finance & Accounting Analyze and prepare intercompany transactions, including reconciliation and clearing of intercompany AR and AP balances Review and reconcile cost allocations across multiple business units Prepare journal entries related to inventory and finance activities Reconcile inventory and general ledger accounts Monitor inventory reserves, obsolescence, and slow-moving inventory Support physical inventory counts and cycle count programs Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes Assist with financial reporting and analysis Support ERP implementations, upgrades, and process improvements Review freight invoices and investigate discrepancies Monitor freight accruals and reconcile accrued freight expenses to actual invoices Review open purchase orders and outstanding freight accruals Analyze freight expenses by customer, product, shipment, carrier, and business segment Identify trends and opportunities for cost improvement Support accounting and reconciliation of customs duties, tariffs, brokerage fees, and other import-related charges Review customs documentation and import transactions for accurate recording of related expenses Assist with the preparation and analysis of material, labor, overhead, and manufacturing variances Support the maintenance and review of standard costs Gather and validate financial and operational data used in costing Support internal and external audits related to inventory, cost accounting, and general accounting Maintain documentation supporting inventory valuation and costing methodologies Ensure compliance with company policies, GAAP, and internal controls Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting 2+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment Experience with SAP ERP or a comparable ERP system Strong understanding of standard costing, manufacturing variances, and cost analysis Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables and LOOKUP functions Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments Experience with foreign currency transactions, including EUR/USD conversions Strong knowledge of GAAP and familiarity with internal controls Why Consider This Opportunity?
