Job Description

This position will support various aspects of the Systems Office Controller team, including fixed assets, tax reporting, financial reporting, grant reporting, and project reporting. This internship provides an opportunity to gain experience in governmental accounting and auditing while supporting success of the College's educational mission.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as Cost Center Business Asset Tracking Specialist for Systems Office Create projects and post funding in accounting system Assist with data compilation and analysis for various tax reports Serve as Finance Analyst for month-end, quarterly, and year-end financial statements and other reports Other administrative and reporting duties as assigned This is not to be construed as an exhaustive list. Other duties logically associated with this position may be assigned. All responsibilities will be conducted within the parameters of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), other applicable regulatory requirements, and professional standards.
Pay Rate:
$15.00 per hour

General Qualifications:
Completed FAFSA on file demonstrating financial need Maintain a minimum of 6 credit hours of enrollment in eligible courses Maintain an aid-eligible Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) status Currently enrolled as an Ivy Tech Community College student Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Interest in pursuing an accounting or finance degree Strong work ethic with a focus on customer service Willingness to learn governmental accounting standards, Microsoft Excel and Word, and Workday accounting software Ivy Tech Community College is an accredited, equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
