Accounting Associate

Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Associate to support our bookkeeping and monthly accounting services for small business clients. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, maintaining organized financial records, and building relationships with clients. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and helping clients stay on top of their day-to-day accounting needs. Key Responsibilities Perform monthly bookkeeping for multiple clients across various industries Categorize transactions and maintain accurate general ledgers Reconcile bank, credit card, and loan accounts Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions Assist with payroll processing and sales tax filings Communicate with clients to request information and answer basic questions Identify and resolve discrepancies or unusual transactions Maintain organized and secure client records Qualifications 1-3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience Strong understanding of basic accounting principles Experience with accounting software (Quickbooks Online/Accounting CS) High attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines Strong communication skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting Experience in a public accounting or CPA firm environment Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly compensation (based on experience) Paid time off and firm-observed holidays Opportunities for growth within the firm Supportive, team-oriented work environment Who This Role Is Best For Someone who enjoys consistent, process-driven work A professional who values accuracy and organization An individual looking to grow within a CPA firm environment Someone who enjoys working with small business owners and helping them succeed
