Full Time; Salary Step into a high‑impact Senior Accountant role with American Commercial Barge Line, where you'll own the integrity of our financial records and play a key part in driving informed business decisions. In this position, you'll ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded, maintain and reconcile ledger and subsidiary accounts, and prepare complex balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other critical financial reports. You'll dig deep into current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to deliver sharp financial analysis that predicts future performance and helps guide our strategy. Your IMPACT Prepares and posts financial journal entries including intercompany eliminating entries. Reviews and analyzes general ledger account balances. Verify accuracy of ledger entries and makes recommendations for corrections. Prepare monthly reconciliations and balance sheets. May serve as mentor for lower-level accountants. Performs all other duties as assigned. What we are looking for... High School Diploma/GED Competence in all financial and accounting principles and processes. Proficiency in using office productivity software such as MS Office, Oracle, and other financial systems. 3-5 Years of accounting competence. Valid Driver's License.
Even better if you have:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
