Job Description

Overview The Senior Staff Accountant is both an important and hands-on role that provides full accounting support to external and internal customers. Job Responsibilities Prepare and review monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports in accordance with US GAAP. Support month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory transactions, and production variances for aluminum casting and extrusion operations. Maintain and reconcile inventory, raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods accounts. Assist with standard costing, cost analysis, and inventory valuation. Assist with year-end physical inventory counts and inventory reconciliation processes. Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies. Support external audits, tax filings, and internal control compliance. Monitor capital expenditures and fixed asset accounting. Collaborate with operations, purchasing, production, to ensure accurate financial data. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Review AP/AR transactions and ensure proper accounting treatment. Help improve accounting procedures and reporting processes. Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analysis as requested by management. Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment Strong understanding of cost accounting and inventory accounting. Experience with GP systems and Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of US GAAP. CPA or CMA preferred but not required. Detail-oriented with strong attention to accuracy.
