Senior Accountant

Finance Department Position Summary:

The Senior Accountant maintains financial records, prepares financial reports, performs account reconciliations, reviews, analyzes general ledger transactions, assists other departments, and applies critical thinking to solve dynamic problems.

Outline of Duties:

Prepares, analyzes, and reviews financial statements using accounting principles.

Calculates and records daily/weekly journal entries.

Assists with the budgeting and forecasting of areas of responsibility.

Prepares periodic reporting (daily, weekly, monthly) for internal Finance and external SIA purposes.

Coordinates accounting matters with other departments.

Prepare ad-hoc reports, as needed.

Initiates and performs special projects.

Prepares government reporting (surveys, property taxes, etc.), as needed.

Performs accounting and/or tax research, as needed.

Applies critical thinking to solve dynamic problems.

All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting required plus 3+ years relevant experience CPA

Experience with MS Office applications Experience with ERP system, SAP preferred

Desired Qualifications:
